Asteroid Cargo Bikes have 2 wheel sizes, both supported by Schwalbes Pick-up tyres upto 2.6" wide. Cargo Bikes are great for kids, so we have 2 standard platforms and can develop bespoked options for commercial partners.

Asteroid keep your load safely up front, where you can see. We have partnered with the Intra-Drive with one of the best motors in the market, with no derailleur and easily repairable if needed. Cargo Bike offer you stress free parking and active travel to boot.

Small and Smart:

With a 200 kg (440 lb) Max weight, Asteroid AMX can be changed to carry more than you expect. Asteroid front loaders keep the load safe and low, allowing you to carry three kids plus groceries, or as your kids grow, the family dog can come along too. The AMX caters for families and the trade with our modular platform and unique side platforms. The AMX has options shorter than a regular bike, so that you can use secure public bike lockups or vertical storage in the corner of the office.

Safety for your family:

The AMX has a modular systems allows a range of passenger accessories, from toddlers to 2x 7year olds. With a ply cargo box, carry your children, upfront where you can see them. Lower is safer for everyone, even your spouse can catch a lift.

All Asteroid Cargo bikes are designed to change when your lifestyle changes. This is the ultimate utility vehicle. With the front and rear axle decks, you are able to carry long loads like, ladders, planks of wood and plumbing tubes. Whether commercial or just doing some DIY, Asteroid are designed to carry almost anything.

Year-Round Riding:

It does not rain as much as you think in the UK, but road surface water makes things unpleasant. Asteroid have designed everything for wet weather cycling. The Jamboree rain cover for our 60cm boxes, keeping your kids dry and cozy. Asteroid bikes have solutions, from DIY rain guard templates to all weather passenger comfort options.

  • Intra-Drive GD8 Motor

    Intra-Drive GD8 motor with its internal gearbox out performs against the e-motor market, making it a perfect choice for heavy loads and hills The GD8 delivers 95Nm of torque & 600W peak power.

  • Low Strong Split Frame:

    The Split frame chassis has been designed to be stiff, strong & carrying loads as low as possible. This Split frame can be split for transport & can be changed when your needs change.

  • Hub Steering

    Hub steering is a big part of all Asteroid Cargo Bike designs. Why? Hub steering allows the front wheel to be closer to the load, making a shorter wheelbase, which helps with steering and handling.

Easy taxi

Asteroid Cargo Bikes have 2 frame options: step-through & high-top. Step-through frame makes getting on and off the bike easier for shorter riders. High-top allows for more frame storage for taller riders.
Both options have adjustable cockpits, that can easily be resized with some simple tools. Asteroid will fit riders ranging from 150cm - 195cm tall, so you can easily share this with your family

Transportation:

This is your transport. However there are times when you cannot cycle door to door, or you want to go further afield. All Asteroid Cargo Bikes frames split for transportation and storage. This makes it easier to fit in the back of a Mini or take onto public transport.

Rear Rack to Stack:

Asteroid Cargo Bikes have 3 different platforms 40cm, 60cm and 100cm at request. Asteroid developed the 40cm platform to fit into a 195cm city council bicycle lock-up. The 40cm option is shorter than most regular bicycles and will easily fit into a UK elevator. Asteroid Bikes can be stored or parked vertically, perfect for city apartments and Victorian flats.
