Cargo bikes come as either "long-tails" or "front-loaders".  Both of these formats are long and have difficult handling, compared to a normal bicycle.  

Asteroid took it further, and have engineered innovative design lead solutions.  Asteroid have developed our own hub steering system and  modular split frame.  To make steering and handling better and to resolve storage and product life-cycle issues. 

Electric Cargo Bikes are a game changer, with the ability to carry a heavier loads by bicycle, using mid-powered e-motors and derailleur or hub gears.  Combining human with electric power creates a low maintenance, high power drivetrain with and no pollutants. Safer Steering

Hub steering is a big part of the Asteroid Cargo Bike design. Why? Cargo Bikes have an inherent wobble, due to the conventional fork. "Hub-Steering" hubs do not wobble, making them ideal for Cargo Bikes.

Hub steering also allows the front wheel to be closer to the load, making a shorter wheelbase, which helps with steering and handling.
